I HAVE A LIFE OF TOTAL & UTTER FREEDOM …
No commitments!
No obligations!
No responsibilities!
“But they aren’t the ingredients of real freedom!”
.
REAL FREEDOM is when I can make a commitment to a relationship and remember I’m free to focus on whatever aspects of the other person I choose and feel really good, no matter how they’re behaving.
REAL FREEDOM is when I can feel obligation to do work that may have lost it’s inner appeal but still know I’m free to focus on acknowledging the incredible outer benefits as well.
REAL FREEDOM is when I can be in a country where lots of things might appear as if they’re unjust, unconscionable and unfair but deliberately take the time to feel the freedom of imagining how they could be instead.
REAL FREEDOM is when I can live in a world where there’s tragedy, trauma and strife and realise I’m still free to enjoy the ever-present beauty of nature, the joyful laughter of children, the scent of a flower, the abundance of fresh air, the warmth of a smile, the conversations that uplift everyone and let myself settle into a feeling of appreciation for the dominant goodness that always abounds.
REAL FREEDOM is when I remember that I’M responsible for whether I’ll keep focusing on the problems or give my attention to solutions, whether I’ll get bogged down by concentrating on weaknesses or lift everybody up by expanding on our strengths, whether I’ll do things out of obligation or feel the freedom to do them because I’ve had fun finding ways to live life with joy, with appreciation, with eagerness, with positive expectation, with the love that I am – NO MATTER WHAT!
