I Don’t Make Promises

I Don’t Make Promises

CONFESSION # 15

I DON’T MAKE PROMISES

A promise is a pledge we make in an “attempt” to repair a mistake we made in the past, to keep what we have in the present the same way forever, or to make the future more predictable.

Promises we make to other people just to keep them happy or make them feel more secure, are unsustainable, unwise and generally untruthful.

The best promise I can ever make is that I will do my best to remain true to myself.

Promising to be true to yourself is a deluded belief that you have the power of self determination and free will.

Well, Having your own Free Will is what Existentialism is about.
Considering the Fact that You Call yourself Salvation I guess you mean God has that power… meh… then I guess I am an Agnostic/Atheist anyway. But yeah I don’t answer for the Author, but then again thinking that Life is purposeful is in itself deluding oneself… so Why not just commit suicide?
The Entire world revolves around Delusions my friend…
